DUTIES OF TRACK & FIELD COMMITTEE CHAIR
I. Preside over
A. Track & Field Committee meeting held during State Track Meet.
B. Track & Field Committee meeting held during Summer Clinic.
C. All called Track & Field Committee meetings held during the year.
II. Summer Clinic Responsibilities:
A. IMPORTANT: Attend Track & Field and Cross Country All-Star orientation
meeting to assign room accommodations.
B. Oversee Track & Field and Cross Country All-Stars.
C. Introduce clinicians as designated by the Program Chairman or delegate
responsibility to Track & Field Committee members.
D. IMPORTANT: Supervise Track & Field and Cross Country All-Stars and
All-Star coaches demonstration. Be at the site at least 30 minutes to one
hour before demonstration to finalize arrangements. Introduce All-Star
coaches for demonstration.
E. At the 1A-2A-3A-4A All-Star basketball game, align high school coaches
of Cross Country and Track & Field All-Stars to receive certificates in halftime
ceremony of All-Star game.
F. Present certificates to high school coaches of Track & Field and Cross Country All-Stars.
III. Legislative Council
A. Receive from track coaches recommendations for proposals to be presented to
the Athletic Committee of the University Interscholastic League Legislative
Council.
B. Consider proposals at Track & Field Committee meetings.
C. Present proposals to Board of Directors for approval.
IV. Supply articles and other information to the Newsletter editor of the TGCA.
