SOFTBALL ALL-STATE SELECTION PLAN

 

 

 

 

I.          STATE SELECTION COMMITTEE

 

            At the Summer Clinic each region selects a representative from each conference

            (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A) to serve a one-year term on the All-State selection committee.

            A general chair will be appointed as well as a chair for each of the five conferences. 
            The Committee will meet at the State Softball Tournament to determine the All-State selections. 
             An All-State team consisting of 40 players from each conference 

            (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A) will be selected.

 

 

 

II.          MEMBER COACHES

 

            A.        Players may be nominated by member coaches only.

            B.        On-line nominations must be made to TGCA no later than Monday noon before the State Softball Tournament.

            C.        Coaches may nominate as many of their own players as they choose.

            D.        Statistics for the current season must be included.

 

 

 

III.         GENERAL CHAIR

 

            The Chair will accept the final selections from each conference chairperson and submit

            those selections to the Executive Director for verification.

 

 

IV.        EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

            After verification of the selections, the Executive Director will prepare a certificate for each athlete. 
            The All-State teams will also be posted on the TGCA website.
