TEXAS GIRLS COACHES ASSOCIATION

ACADEMIC ALL -STATE

Member coaches of the Texas Girls Coaches Association have the privilege of nominating senior athletes and cheerleaders and senior members of the support staff for that sport to receive Academic All-State recognition. Athletes, cheerleaders and support staff members named to the Academic All-State team will receive a certificate from the TGCA. The head varsity coach of any athlete, cheerleader, or support staff receiving an award must be a member in good standing by the membership nomination deadline.

Nominations should be done on-line. Nomination forms are also available on-line at www.austintgca.com, or you may call our office at 512-708-1333 to have one faxed to you.

Nominees must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Be a senior;

2. Have an overall grade point average of 94 or above for grades 9 -- 11;

3. Be a varsity participant or a member of the support staff for that sport in good

                        standing.

4. Be of good moral character.

NOTE: Ten (10) points may be added for weighted classes.
